Lisa Martinez

2nd Grade

Mrs. Martinez was raised locally and comes from a long line of family who contributed to the airplane, train, and cement industries.  She is a graduate of California State San Bernardino, where she received her degree in Liberal Arts, and her CLAD teaching credential.  She acquired a minor in Spanish from the University of California at Riverside.  She has worked for 25 years in public and private education and now calls Packinghouse Christian Academy her home.  She has enjoyed teaching 2nd grade for 7 years at PCA and being the director of KidBrick Engineering, an afterschool club for students who learn about Lego engineering and Robotics now in its 7th year.  Mrs. Martinez says she felt a calling to serve God in the capacity of a teacher in Christian education and is overwhelmed by blessings here at PCA.

She has been married to her husband Raul for 19 years and together they have two children.  They enjoy traveling, reading, technology and art.  Some of their unusual travel experiences include storm chasing and being present at the last night launch of the space shuttle Endeavour.  Next, her family plans to visit Iceland.
